Our Story

Hi, I’m Jess.
Mum of three. Coffee reheater. Chaos coordinator. Founder of Soul Full Of Violet.
If we were chatting over coffee, I’d probably be mid sentence while someone yelled Muuuum from another room, the washing machine beeped aggressively, and my coffee went cold for the third time.
Because that’s real life, right?
Soul Full Of Violet was born from that exact place the messy middle of motherhood. The part where you love your kids with your whole heart, but also sometimes feel like you’ve completely disappeared under the mental load, the appointments, the snacks, the school notes, the laundry, the noise, and everyone needing something from you.
After having my youngest, I struggled quietly with anxiety. So quietly that I didn’t even fully admit it to myself. I kept pushing through, kept doing the things, kept telling myself I was fine, until a kind colleague gently noticed that I wasn’t.
That moment changed something for me.
It helped me realise that self care wasn’t selfish or indulgent. It wasn’t bubble baths and perfect morning routines. It was boundaries. Tiny pauses. Letting myself exist outside of being needed. Remembering I was still a whole person, not just someone’s mum.
Soul Full Of Violet started as a little Instagram escape in 2019 a place to create, connect, and feel like Jess again. Over time, it grew from brand repping fun to backyard shed creativity into handmade self care, dried florals, home fragrance, and a community of women who get it.
The mums who are overstimulated.
The mums who are exhausted.
The mums who love their families deeply but still crave a moment that belongs to them.
Everything I create is made for real life. Not the polished version. The actual version.
The one where your shower might be your only quiet moment.
The one where a room spray can shift the energy before the afternoon chaos hits.
The one where dried florals on the bench remind you there is still softness here, even in the mess.
And the name?
Violet was my grandma’s name and my daughter’s middle name. My grandma was strong, gentle, and full of love, the kind of woman who made people feel held. That’s the feeling I hope Soul Full Of Violet carries too.
This isn’t just a store.
It’s a place for the mums who are holding everything together, even when they feel like they’re falling apart.
A reminder that you matter too.
I’m so glad you’re here.
With love,
Jess x
